About Us

Prudential Holmes & Kennedy is a privately owned and operated business run by experienced, knowledgeable and caring people. Our first office was established in the heart of Chappaqua in 1968. In 1986, our Pleasantville office was opened to handle the area’s rapid expansion. Continued growth in the Tri-Town area led to the opening of our Armonk office in 1994. In 2004, Holmes & Kennedy affiliated with Prudential Real Estate in order to provide buyers and sellers with a vast array of services that set industry standards. The addition of offices in Katonah and Somers, also in 2004, increased our coverage of Northern Westchester into Putnam County.  Our newest office in Bedford opened its doors in early 2007.

Bill Holmes was born and raised in Chappaqua, and presently resides in Armonk. He was a member of the first class at Roaring Brook Elementary School, graduated from Horace Greeley High School, and went on to earn a BA in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In 1968, Bill founded Holmes & Kennedy and created a major force in real estate with a team of trained professionals who reside in and are dedicated to their community.

A lifelong Chappaqua resident, Ted Holmes represents the third generation in this family-run business. Ted’s combined 15 years of experience with mortgage and real estate is the foundation of his expertise in all aspects of our industry.

Since graduating from college, Ted has spent his career in real estate as a Mortgage Broker, Listing and Selling agent, Manager and now is responsible for the sales and operations of Prudential Holmes & Kennedy.
